Jakarta — Prabowo Subianto, the Chairman of the Gerindra Party and the president-elect for the 2024-2029 period, attended the 65th birthday celebration of Siti Hediati Hariyadi, commonly known as Titiek Soeharto. The event took place at her residence on Jl. Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Sunday evening (14/4).
Prabowo arrived at 8:00 PM WIB, dressed in a long-sleeved batik shirt featuring brown and black motifs.
His arrival was warmly welcomed by his only child, Ragowo Hediprasetyo or Didit, and the General Secretary of the Gerindra Party who is also the Vice Chairman of the MPR RI, Ahmad Muzani.
The celebration was modest, marked by a tumpeng cutting ceremony. In her speech, Titiek expressed her gratitude to her family and close friends who made time to attend.
“Thank you for being here tonight to celebrate my 65th birthday. I pray for a long life and hope to continue being useful to the community,” Titiek told the guests.
When it came time to cut the tumpeng, Titiek initially wanted to give the first slice to Prabowo, but he suggested giving it to her sister, Siti Hardijanti Rukmana or Tutut Soeharto, first.
Subsequently, Titiek gave the second slice to Prabowo as they shook hands and cheek-kissed each other.
“Congratulations, Mbak Titiek. Your efforts in Yogyakarta were among the highest in votes, and thank you all,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo also shared the celebration moments on his Instagram page @prabowo.
“May God Almighty always protect you, and bless your service to the Nation and State. Happy birthday @titieksoeharto,” he wrote.
The event concluded with a sweet moment as Prabowo took a photo with Titiek and Didit.
That evening, Prabowo also took the time to greet and chat with many guests, including the Gerindra Party’s Deputy General Chairperson Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team Roesan P Roeslani, former Head of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) AM Hendropriyono, and celebrities like Maia Estianty and Deddy Corbuzier.
